Background
§ Guiteras Elementary is part of the Bristol Warren School Department. I live in Warren and my Mom has also worked as a Special Education and Regular Education teacher in the district for the past 20 years. I knew that I wanted to do an internship in one of the schools in Bristol. I contacted Sarah and made the arrangements to come in a few times a week to observe her and learn more about the profession and what my future would hold. I never expected to be given the opportunity to work in 2 different atmospheres, the school and nursing home but I jumped at the chance. Different places meant different exposure, different disorders, and different ages. This was an opportunity that I couldn’t turn down.
